Getting to Know You

An important start to the children’s school year is getting to know one another and having positive interactions with their peers and teachers. If this is too formalized and rigid, some children will switch off, some will rebel, and some will be intimidated. My approach is to let the children come to my way of working with them, let them understand my rules but get there through a gentle process.
 
In this pack I will share with you my approach and my tricks and tips that will allow your children to quickly get to know one another and for you to learn their names and sometimes a few of their idiosyncrasies. As the work in this package progresses, we will build up the newfound confidence of our children and together you will use music on a daily basis as a way of gaining a calm and relatively quiet classroom; whilst at the same time developing music skills and knowledge.
